I had opportunity to photograph Infinite Studios in Alameda, operated by Michael Denten, an engineer and producer who has worked with some of the most recognizable names in hip hop over the years. Despite its compact footprint, Infinite Studios is a high-end recording environment designed for precision, creativity, and exceptional sound quality.

A key feature of the studio is its monitoring system, built around Neumann studio monitors provided by Advanced System Group. These monitors are essential to the studio’s workflow, delivering the accuracy and detail required for critical listening and professional music production. Capturing how this technology integrates into a thoughtfully designed space was an important part of my approach to this assignment.

As a photographer, I focused on conveying both the intimacy of the studio and the caliber of work produced there. The images highlight the balance between advanced audio technology and a space that feels personal and intentional—an environment where artists and engineers can focus entirely on the music.

This image series was created for a trade publication serving the professional audio industry, where strong visuals help communicate the standards and values behind high-level recording spaces. Projects like this allow me to document the behind-the-scenes environments where music is shaped, and to visually support the stories of the people and tools that define contemporary audio production.
